Microsoft has refreshed a collection of training content for its Cloud platform, offering customers a new release of the Windows Azure Platform Training Kit for download.
The Windows Azure Platform Training Kit September 2011 Update is available through the company’s Download Center, free of charge, just as all the previous updates.
The software giant is looking to make sure that developers, partners and customers looking to embrace Windows Azure have access to a set of technical content designed to provide insight into the Cloud platform, including the main components of the offering.
“The Windows Azure Platform Training Kit includes a comprehensive set of technical content including hands-on labs, presentations, and demos that are designed to help you learn how to use the Windows Azure platform, including: Windows Azure, SQL Azure and the Windows Azure AppFabric,” Microsoft said.
As with every new Windows Azure Platform Training Kit update, the company deals with a number of content problems, introducing a few fixes.
But there are additional changes in the Windows Azure Platform Training Kit September 2011 update, including new resources introduced.
The refresh brings to the table new Hands-On Lab for Service Bus Messaging, for example. Microsoft also refreshed the introduction to Windows Azure Marketplace for Data, and also updated the Labs and Demos for the new Window Azure SDK & Tools 1.5; as well as those for the new AppFabric SDK 1.5.
“After downloading the training kit, run the self-extracting executable to extract all of the training kit files to your local machine. After the content is extracted, the starting page for the traning kit will be displayed in your default browser. You can then browse through the individual hands-on labs, demos, and presentations,” the software giant said.
Customers can download the Windows Azure Platform Training Kit September 2011 Update either as a standalone release, or leverage the web installer provided by Microsoft.
