How big are the differences between the two?

Windows 10 is often described as the most advanced version of Windows ever released by Microsoft, and this particular operating system is considered to be a game changer for the Redmond-based tech giant as it’s trying to bring its platforms together, including PCs, tablets, and smartphones.

But as far as the UI is concerned, some think that Windows 10 doesn’t bring enough changes and it’s way too similar to its predecessors, including the very old and ancient Windows 95.

A photo comparison put together with reddit user thesithlord shows that Microsoft has only slightly tweaked the interface of Windows 10 since the debut of Windows 95 and some of the options that were there in 1995 are still here in 2015.

This isn’t at all a bad thing, especially since users love the familiarity that Windows offers to them in order to make working on their computers easier and faster, but some think that a more modern approach, with increased focus on touch, would be required for Windows 10.

Touch not really helpful for mouse and keyboard users

thesithlord does have a point here, as Microsoft has only slightly adjusted the interface of Windows 10 when compared to Windows 95, obviously to fit some of the new features that debuted in the meantime.

But touch isn’t necessarily a good thing in modern Windows, especially because many of us still need an operating system that can be easily used with a mouse and keyboard.

Just look at what happened with Windows 8. This very first “modern” operating system brought us the Start screen and got in turn criticism from pretty much everyone, no matter how hard Microsoft tried to emphasize the benefits of this new environment.

The reddit user who came up with this idea also created a UserVoice thread to get votes from people who’d like to see more features focused on touch in Windows 10, so cast your votes here if you find this useful in the new operating system.
