Who can remember what they were doing 10 years ago? I admit it was pretty difficult for me to remember what I was doing in the summer of 1995, let alone what I was doing on August 24.

Why August 24? Because that's when Windows 95 was born. For 10 years, we have been leaving under a Windows sign and it hasn't been easy, neither for the operating system nor for us, but whether we like or not, let's give Caesar what belongs
to Caesar, and admit that up until now, there hasn't been such a widespread operating system.

It's not that there aren't any better operating systems, it's just that for a decade, we have been using Windows.

Ten years in which some people haven't found one good thing about this OS, others have praised it and don't know anything else, ten years in which Windows 95 has started to become a memory, replaced by Windows 2000, XP, or Windows Vista.

Let's not forget that after all, Windows 95 marked the beginning of PC usage for many of us. So let's acknowledge its merits, without forgetting the flaws, and write it in the IT history book.

This week, Softpedia News wants to know your opinion on the first beta of Windows Vista. Do you think it comes close to what users want or do you think that Microsoft will have problems with its latest operating system? Express your opinion in the Softpedia News Poll.
