Even though Microsoft remains completely tight-lipped on Windows 9, more and more concepts are reaching the web, most of them based on the rumors we heard so far regarding the upcoming operating system.

This particular concept created by Julian Jukas completely revamps the desktop and switches to a much more appealing design that improves traditional elements such as the System Tray clock.

The taskbar is now holding shortcuts for Metro apps too, while users can also pin folders to the taskbar and see the contents just by hovering the shortcut.

File Explorer has also received an update and now looks a bit more modern, packing eye-candy photo thumbnails and fonts that bring it in line with Microsoft’s new Metro design style.

As for the real Windows 9, this hasn’t been yet confirmed by Microsoft, but sources close to the matter say that it might arrive in early 2015.
