Windows 9 is said to be a work in progress at Microsoft, with several insiders confirming that Redmond is already developing the new operating system supposed to launch in late 2014 or early 2015.

Designers, on the other hand, have already created their own interpretations of the operating system, with several concepts showing users what the new product might actually look like.

This new concept released by MarkusMcNugen is called “Modern Aero” and mixes the Start screen with a Start Menu, while also offering multiple desktops and a tab-based version of File Explorer.

Of course, the new Start Menu has all the things you would need, including a search box, access to the Modern apps, plus the charms that are already available in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

As usual, chances are that Microsoft would completely ignore this project, especially because the company has already explained that the Start Menu won’t be brought back on Windows in future releases.
