According to some sources familiar with the matter, it appears that Microsoft plans to roll out the new Windows 9 in November 2014, as the company wants to bring the new Windows Blue to the market this summer.

A new report published by Chinese media confirms this Windows 9 schedule, indicating that Microsoft is indeed pondering a late 2014 release for the new operating system.

As we’ve already told you, Windows 9 is expected to bring a wide array of improvements to the current Windows platform, including better touch support and UI changes.

In addition, it is very likely to pack the full version of Internet Explorer 11, the upgraded Microsoft browser that should see daylight in Windows Blue in the form of a beta version.

Microsoft is obviously tight-lipped on the Windows 9 saga, but the company has confirmed the project with several job openings posted on its Careers website.
