Microsoft will patch its new operating system next week

Microsoft has announced the release of nine different bulletins on Patch Tuesday, two of which are designed to fix two critical vulnerabilities found in its software.

The fixes supposed to be deployed by Windows 8 users concern Internet Explorer, as Microsoft’s in-house browser is affected by a security flaw that would allow remote code execution and thus expose users’ data.

While Microsoft hasn’t provided more details on the vulnerability, security experts believe that the Redmond-based technology giant will patch the exploit discovered during Pwn2Own, as Internet Explorer has been hacked during the first day of the contest.

As you probably know, all updates will be delivered to Windows 8 workstations using the integrated Windows Update option, so users have basically nothing else to do than to restart their computers after deploying the patches.
