Soon after Microsoft officially introduced the new Windows 8 operating system, the company also rolled out a special discount program for those buying a Windows 7 computer, offering the new software at a very special price.

Windows 7 PC customers who got a new computer between June 2, 2012 and January 31, 2013 are eligible for a $14.99 (€11.45) Windows 8 price tag, as long as they register for the program via Microsoft’s official website.

While the acquired computer must come with Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate, the promotional price is available only if you register before the end of the month.
