Windows 8 and Bing Are Great Products, Says Microsoft Founder

It’s no surprise that Bill Gates is defending the products released by the company he founded, but the chairman said in an AMA session on Reddit that Microsoft’s search engine was actually better than Google’s.

He hasn’t said it directly though, but Gates mentioned that “Bing was the better product at this point.”

“Try the challenge. I am biased but the work to make Bing better has been amazing,” Bill Gates explained.

As for Windows 8, Microsoft’s co-founder noted that it brought several improvements over the previous Windows versions. In addition, he stated that more software and hardware based on the new operating system would emerge soon, which means that customers will have a wide variety of products to choose from.

“It is a huge advance for Windows which people will see even more as the great applications and hardware come out,” Gates concluded.
