Online retailer Newegg launches a preorder program for Windows 8

Two weeks ahead of the official debut of Windows 8, online retailer Newegg.com launched a preorder program for the new Microsoft operating system, while also revealing the pricing of the new product.

Newegg displays a total of four different products on its official website, with pricing going as follows:

- Windows 8 Professional Upgrade - $69.99 (save $130) - Windows 8 Pro Pack – Product Key Card (no media) - $69.99 (save $30) - Windows 8 (Full Version) – OEM $99.99 - Windows 8 Pro (Full Version) – OEM $139.9

Both Windows 8 (Full Version) – OEM and Windows 8 Pro (Full Version) – OEM are delivered in 32-bit and 64-bit flavors, according to ZDNet, with the price to remain the same regardless of the version you choose.

Microsoft hasn’t yet confirmed that this is the official pricing of the new OS, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear from the Redmondians.
