The built-in Windows Store continues its growth with more Modern apps added every day

Microsoft most likely expected the Windows Store to grow bigger a lot faster, but the latest statistics are encouraging to say the least.

MetroStore Scanner, the unofficial service that keeps track of the latest Metro apps submitted to the Store, reported more than 75,000 apps available for download this morning.

While this could be a sign that developers finally get Microsoft’s message and decide to port apps to Windows 8, it’s also another indication that the Windows Store is actually growing at a rather slow pace.

Approximately 1,000 new and updated apps are submitted to the Store every single day, so it’s pretty hard to believe that Windows 8 would ever be able to compete with the iOS app store when it comes to the number of entries listed for download.
