Draw with user-defined text on a custom background

Although many people would find it just a waste of time and a foolish way to draw stuff on your tablet, wordBrush is clearly based on a pretty interesting idea that might really come in handy at certain times.

Basically, what it does is to let you draw things on a Windows 8 tablet or PC using a predefined line of text and obviously with plenty of customization options.

You can change the size of the brush, pick a different background, tweak fonts, use effects and resize images, all from the Modern UI of your Windows 8 device.

“With support for over 200 fonts, 20 freeform brushes and the ability to import images, wordbrush becomes the perfect tool for creating unique photo captions, gorgeous desktop wallpaper and designer font layouts that would be nearly impossible on even high end image editing software. Break out of the textbox and set your words free!” the app description posted in the store reads.

Of course, it works on both desktops and tablets, and for a truly powerful experience you’re recommended to use it on a touch-capable device.

Overall, this app is at least worth a shot, so go ahead and download wordBrush for Windows 8 if you’d like to create funny drawings using text instead of standard brushes.
