14 DAY TRIAL // Movie Moments is one of the apps that arrived in Windows 8.1 Preview, as Microsoft is trying to provide users with powerful apps for the common tasks they perform on a desktop PC or on a tablet.
As you can see in this video, the app allows you to edit videos of up to 60 seconds, with basic tools to trim from the beginning, middle, or end, add captions and music, save and share the output file available free of charge.
“Turn any video into a memorable moment you'll love to share. With this app, you can trim your video to your favorite parts, highlight key moments with captions and effects, and set the mood with music,” the app description reads.
As mentioned, Movie Moments is exclusively available on Windows 8.1, so there's no option to install it on Windows 8 devices, be they desktops, laptops, or tablets.
