Windows 8.1 is a very hot topic these days, especially because the update is going to be revealed in just a few weeks, so quite a lot of clips reached the web in the last few days.

First of all, the company used both the Computex 2013 and TechEd events to present new features of its next Windows release, emphasizing that Windows 8.1 is the kind of operating system that's specifically built for users.

One of the clips that went online this week is actually Microsoft's full TechEd keynote that brought us the first live presentation of the new Windows 8.1.

Truth is, the Softies have only presented the enterprise flavor of the OS, but some of the features available here will also be offered to end users through the other builds.

Of course, we got the chance to see plenty of new options, including some Start screen tweaks, fingerprint support and (yes!) the Start button.

And speaking of the Start button, a short clip posted on YouTube showcased the new feature in action. Of course, many users have quickly expressed their frustration with the Start button, as it doesn't launch a Start Menu, but instead gets them back to the Start screen.

Well, in case you're not satisfied with this Start button demo, maybe you like the first official Windows 8.1 clip created by Microsoft.

This new video has been used by the Redmondians to provide more details about specific options, such as the Start screen, the improved search feature, and the enhanced Snap View mode.

Last but not least, the company also demonstrated the aforementioned fingerprint support on video, while also confirming that this particular option would allow users not only to lock down the computer, but also to restrict access to some specific apps and their built-in features, such as the buy option of the Windows Store.
