14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft will kick off the BUILD 2014 developer conference today, an event that’s expected to witness the unveiling of several key products, including Windows 8.1 Update.
As you’ve probably found out over the last couple of months, Windows 8.1 Update brings quite a lot of changes to Microsoft’s modern operating system, including options to pin Metro apps to the taskbar and dedicated windows for them with a title bar and minimize and close buttons that would allow users to control the running programs with a mouse.
The BUILD developer conference starts today in San Francisco and will include live streamed keynotes on Wednesday, April 2 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. PT and Thursday, April 3 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. PT, with “Microsoft executives to take the stage to talk about new opportunities to showcase the company’s continued investments for developers,” a company spokesperson told us.
Of course, in addition to all these “investments for developers,” Microsoft is also expected to unveil Windows 8.1 Update and provide some details on Windows 9, the next big project for the Windows product family that will arrive in early 2015.
