Windows 8.1 Update 1 will be released in April 2014 according to people familiar with the matter, and in addition to plenty of improvements for the desktop and the Metro UI, it will also come with some enhancements for Internet Explorer.

A screenshot published today by WZor and allegedly showing a so-called Windows 8.1 Update 1 with Bing edition indicates that Internet Explorer 11.0.7 is expected to be included in the upcoming release.

The current version of Internet Explorer that’s offered to Windows 8.1 users is 11.0.3 and was released on Patch Tuesday when Microsoft rolled out a new update for its in-house browser.

In Windows 8.1 Update 1, Internet Explorer will also receive a so-called Enterprise Mode feature that would allow companies to provide enhanced compatibility with specific websites.
