Windows 8.1 Update 1 is set to make its public debut sometime in April, according to people close to the matter, but it turns out that the company has already finalized development of the update.
Just as WZor reported yesterday, Microsoft could sign off Windows 8.1 Update 1 RTM by February 23 and now we’re hearing that Redmond has almost completed development of this OS version, almost two months before its public debut.
Microsoft won’t implement any other major feature improvements in the final build of Windows 8.1 Update 1 and the company fixed 99 percent of the bugs, which means that the pack is ready to be sent to OEMs for testing purposes.
Windows 8.1 Update 1 will debut in April and will be offered free of charge to all those running Windows 8.1 through Windows Update.
