Windows 8.1 Update 1 is expected to debut at the BUILD developer conference in April, but according to some previous reports, a leak could reach the web as soon as this week.

According to WZOR, who until now leaked plenty of accurate details regarding Microsoft’s upcoming projects, Microsoft is about to send Windows 8.1 Update 1 to partners for testing purposes, which means that the company is very close to completing the development process of this update.

While it’s not yet clear whether this would be the final build or not, other reports hinted that Windows 8.1 Update 1 is projected to hit RTM sometime in March before getting released to users one month later.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 is expected to include all updates and patches released since October, as well as some new features that could include a Start Menu.
