Microsoft is already working to finalize development of Windows 8.1 Update 1, and even though the company has remained tight-lipped on this, screenshots that got leaked recently come to confirm this.

Now Win8China is reporting that an ISO which would allow users to install and try out the new update before the official release in April could leak “soon,” especially as we move closer to the public debut.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 won’t bring so many big changes as initially believed, but it might include options to pin Metro apps to the taskbar and thus help Microsoft make the first step towards a major changes that would better mix the Modern UI and the desktop.

Windows 9 is supposed to finalize this merger, with users expected to be allowed to run Metro apps right on the desktop in their very own windows.
