Microsoft has implemented a few slight changes to the store UI

Microsoft has just introduced a new set of improvements for the Windows 8.1 store, adding some UI changes on the main screen.

Basically, users can now see the top app categories, as well as the available subcategories without actually swiping down from the top of the screen, which makes it easier and faster to find apps for their devices.

As McAkins Online notes, the update took place server-side, which means that users aren't required to do anything, so the changes should be there when they launch the Windows Store.

As you probably know, the Windows Store got a complete makeover in Windows 8.1, as Microsoft tried to make it easier to use, especially for beginners who had a hard time trying to discover the main features.

Of course, the new store works like a charm on touch devices and displays more essential app information on the key screens.
