All apps that are available in the store right now can also be viewed from your browser thanks to a similar design implemented by Microsoft for Windows 8 and 8.1 users, but it turns out that the company has changed the behavior of the web-based version a little bit.

Starting this weekend, whenever you load a Windows 8 app page in your browser, you are automatically prompted to launch the Windows Store, so you no longer have to click that small “View in Windows Store” button on the left side of the screen.

While Microsoft hasn’t yet announced this change, we’ve noticed the same behavior on both Internet Explorer and Firefox, with the first launching the store without even prompting for a user-defined action.

The new option comes in handy for Windows 8 and 8.1 users looking for a specific app in their browser, as it reduces the time between searching and downloading the application.
