As I told you earlier today, Microsoft is now making the final adjustments to Windows 8.1 RTM before it sends the stable build to OEMs, but a new report claims that work has already been completed.
A member of Russian forum PCPortal reveals that Windows 8.1 RTM has been signed off a few minutes ago, which means that OEMs are very likely to get the operating system in the coming hours or in the next couple of days.
The full build string of Windows 8.1 RTM is 6.3.9600.16384. winblue_rtm. 130822-2140, according to these unconfirmed reports.
Microsoft is yet to release a public announcement on the RTM version of Windows 8.1, but if this is indeed true, expect more details and most likely a leaked build of the operating system to reach the web very soon.
