Microsoft will officially launch a public preview of Windows 8.1 in June at the BUILD developer conference, but the company is already testing some beta versions of the release.

According to some forum postings, build 9403 has already reached partners, but no other specifics have been provided.

In addition, it’s believed that Microsoft has already completed the development of some new built-in Metro apps, including the highly-anticipated Movie Moments.

While it’s not yet clear if this particular version is the last one to be submitted to partners before the launch of the public preview, sources familiar with the matter suggest that a downloadable ISO could leak anytime soon, most likely during the next weekend.

Keep in mind that we should all take these with a pinch of salt, so we can’t guarantee that that this screenshot is indeed true or just another photoshopped picture.
