Users have found a new bug in Windows 8.1 Preview, this time affecting the Wi-Fi connectivity after upgrading to the latest OS version.

According to a post on Microsoft’s support forums, some consumers cannot connect to their fully-working wireless networks, even though everything seems to work just fine on other OSes.

“I have recently upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and since then my wi-fi keeps losing connectivity which is extremely frustrating. The same connection is working fine on all other devices using Windows 7 and Windows 8,” one user explains.

Other users suggest that this is a problem with network drivers, as some manufacturers are yet to optimize their software for the new 8.1 OS update.

“The Wireless connectivity issues that we are seeing after upgrading to Windows 8.1 Preview could well be caused by unavailability of a fully compatible driver for the network hardware in use,” a forum moderator explains.
