14 DAY TRIAL // Even though it’s supposed to improve the overall experience on your PC regardless of your daily activities, Windows 8.1 is said to be causing quite a lot of problems for those who wish to play games on their computers.
The operating system is suffering from what some users are calling “terrible” mouse lag in a number of games, including classic card titles, such as Solitaire, and Call of Duty, Metro 2033 or Deus Ex.
“I updated my Windows from 8 to 8.1. Installation went fine and everything works...except my mouse in games and Call of Duty Black Ops 2 became unplayable because of mouse stutter & lag. In windows 8 it worked fine. I have roccat kone XTD mouse. I re-installed all the mouse drivers and even GPU drivers. The problem became after i updated to 8.1. There were absolutely never any issues with Windows 8 and my mouse,” one user confirmed the issue.
Microsoft is yet to issue a fix for this, but expect the company to be looking into the issue as we speak, so more details are very likely to be provided anytime soon.
