The new Windows OS comes with a small glitch affecting the way the icons look

Windows 8.1 indeed comes with a few bugs, most of which affect the installation process, but it seems like the operating system also brings few visual setbacks that break down the clean look for the icons.

AskVG is reporting that icons look distorted in the confirmation dialog box and in the Send To menu, and no workaround seems to be available right now.

Basically, all you need to do to reproduce this bug is to right-click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop, click “Properties,” and enable the “Display delete confirmation dialog” in the “General” tab.

Icons are displayed correctly in Windows 8, so it turns out that Windows 8.1 is the only OS version that comes with such a bug. I’m pretty sure that Microsoft is already aware of the issue but, since it doesn’t affect the overall functionality of the operating system, expect a patch to be released sometime in the next few weeks.
