Microsoft partners have a competition reserved for themselves to share the love for the Redmond company's upcoming Windows client. The “Microsoft Windows 7 + You = Success: What’s Your Story?” asks participants, as the title implies, to tell their stories related to the successor of Windows Vista. The software giant is pointing to Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) Build 7100 for the video demonstrations that Microsoft partners will need to submit in order to have a chance at winning.

“To get involved all you need to do is be a Microsoft Partner, create one or many 2-3 minutes video(s) and post it to DigitalForumTV.com for voting by anyone with a Live ID. Each video is required to include: 1) a brief introduction that begins with “I believe Windows 7 will help my customers work reliably, easily, and securely by . . .” 2) at least one Windows 7 feature highlight in the form of a demonstration using Windows 7 RC,” revealed Sarah Arnold, the partner program manager for Microsoft Australia.

Microsoft emphasized that the videos submitted to the competition could not be larger than four minutes. The Redmond company is ready to give the winning partner a Dell Latitude E4300 complete with Windows 7. At the same time, the software giant indicated that the video ad would get “prominent display” at the Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC). The submission code for entering videos in the completion via DigitalForumTV.com is: W7PVC.

“The contest started on May 26th 2009. Video submissions will be accepted until June 26th and the contest ends one week later on July 3rd. Anyone with a Live ID is encouraged to rate the video submissions through the end of the contest,” Arnold added.

Windows 7 Release Candidate is available for public download since May 5th, 2009. Microsoft announced officially that it would release the operating system to manufacturing in mid-July, and that customers would be able to purchase it on October 22.

32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 (Release Candidate) RC Build 7100.0.090421-1700 is available for download here.
