How does your personality relate to the latest operating system from Microsoft, and what features of the operating system are clearly tailored to you? With the general availability deadline for Windows 7 approaching at a fast pace, users can now take the Windows 7 Personality Quiz, courtesy of Microsoft Hong Kong. “Discover your cyber world personality! You will learn more than you expect. Start your journey with us now,” reads a message from the company, via Beyond Binary.

The quiz is, as you would expect, a prelude to a presentation of Windows 7. Users can in fact skip the quiz altogether and simply watch the Windows 7 video. And just to make it clear, taking the Windows 7 Personality Quiz will not lead to any sort of revelation about cyber world alter egos. The users will have to answer a collection of questions, in order to be served a generic profile from the company.

Here is my result “You are... Independent. You are an independent person, with the spirit of perseverance and courage to solve problems. Windows 7 Trouble Shooting Platform is your personal IT support, allowing you to fix all your computer operation problems on your own without seeking help from others.”

In addition to leading up to the video, the Windows 7 Personality Quiz also offers users a chance to keep up to date with Windows 7 news, as the October 22nd worldwide launch approaches. Via the Windows 7 Consumer Launch, Microsoft is offering customers interested in news about the successor of Windows Vista a chance to subscribe and receive SMS updates. But first you will have to “agree to subscribe to the Windows 7 Consumer Launch SMS communications and (…) understand that all information contained in these communications will be solely in the English language. [You also need to] understand that there may be a fee for these communications imposed by the mobile operator.”
