14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is offering partners a chance to win Flip SlideHD camcorders via the Windows 7 Partner Training Sweepstakes. The contest is opened to members of the Microsoft Partner Network around the world, with the exception of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria.
But as the moniker for the sweepstakes implies, only customers that are official Microsoft partners will be able to enter into the competition.
And in addition to being members of the Microsoft Partner Network, participants are also required to complete any of the qualifying Windows 7 training sessions available to them.
“This Sweepstakes starts at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) on August 1, 2010, and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2011 (“Entry Period”). The Entry Period will consist of four (4) quarterly Prize Periods,” Microsoft explained.
The first prize period is just about to come to an end, with September 30, 2010 as the deadline. However, there are additional chances for Microsoft partners to win. The remaining prize periods will be October 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010, January 1, 2011 to March 31, 2011 and April 1, 2011 to June 30, 2011.
“Entries will be eligible only for the Prize Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent Prize Periods. You need to enter each Prize Period separately,” the software giant explained.
In total, Microsoft will hand out no less than 20 Grand Prizes consisting of a Flip SlideHD Camcorder. The Redmond company approximates the Retail Value of a camcorder to $279.99. The software giant will select 5 winners per prize period.
“The ARV of electronic prizes is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed,” the company added.
“We will determine the value of the prize to be the fair market value at the time of prize award. The total Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of all prizes: $5,599.80.”
