Launched with the slogan “Designed for individuals,” a new Microsoft site promises to highlight Windows 7 machines tailored to user needs. The Collection from Windows 7 brings together a range of PCs carefully selected to suit you,” reads the message from Microsoft.

The Redmond company has divided the Windows 7 computers it’s recommending to users into a few categories, namely: Everyday, Mobile Companion, Professional, Entertainment, and Gaming.

“If you are looking for a new PC and you are not sure which one to get then you may want to check out a great new site that we have called the Windows Collection where we have a great selection to choose from that should suit all your needs,” revealed Microsoft’s Rob Margel.

Using the website is extremely simple, with customers being required to first select a general category for the new Windows 7 PC they want to buy.

They can opt for a machine which would work great for the entire family, for lightweight mobile computers, or for powerhouses designed for professionals, multimedia or gaming content

“There has never been a more exciting time to buy a new PC. Now you can experience the full power of the web with Internet Explorer 9, choose from a wide range models in style, size and colour to suit your lifestyle,” Margel added.

“With touch screens and tablets that let you get even closer to your content. Whatever you’re looking for in a PC, you’ll find it in The Collection, from Windows.”

Of course, the site not only makes recommendations but also provides the necessary links for customers to follow and actually buy a PC, if they decide on a specific product.

While The Collection from Windows 7 is tailored to users in the United Kingdom, customers worldwide can still use it, but they will need to find local shops that sell the PCs themselves.
