Microsoft is reportedly delivering a small fix to select users

Microsoft continues to ship the botched KB2859537 update to Windows 7 users, even though many reports published on the company’s forums indicate that some machines are hit by unexpected BSODs after deploying the patch.

One of the affected users posted a message to inform that Microsoft is now delivering a quick fix tool, but no specifics have been provided. He did reveal, however, that a company technician explained that all BSODs were caused by an incompatibility between the update and the hardware of the computer.

The tech giant is still working on a fix as we speak, so users have no other option than to uninstall the patch and hide it from Windows Update.

To do this, you need to go to Control Panel, click on “Programs and Features” and select “View installed updates.” Search for “KB2859537,” right-click it and hit the “Uninstall” option.
