Microsoft continues its worldwide campaign to move Windows XP users to a newer platform, so the company rolled out a brand new infographic to show the advantages of using a modern operating system.

The Redmond-based tech giant claims that Windows XP is 21 times more likely to be infected by malware than Windows 8, in an attempt to show that the latest version of its OS is the safest ever released.

At the same time, the company talked about Windows 7 security, once again explaining that Windows 8 is much more advanced than its predecessor when it comes to protecting users and their data.

“Windows 7 6 times more likely than Windows 8 to be infected by malware,” it said, while admitting that XP users should migrate to any of these two platforms as long as they decide to dump the 11-year-old software.
