Microsoft will update Windows 10 as part of Patch Tuesday

Windows 10 is one of the operating systems that will get patched next week as part of Microsoft's monthly update rollout, so computers running the Technical Preview, no matter the version, are strongly recommended to get the upcoming fixes as soon as possible.

Microsoft hasn’t provided too many details on what exactly is going to be patched in Windows 10, as it obviously wants to keep users on the safe side, but it has mentioned that it is vital for all computers to be updated with the new bulletins especially when an Internet connection is available.

Since it's Patch Tuesday, all four updates are specifically designed to correct security problems in Windows 10, so no other features or performance improvements are going to be offered.

As is the case of all Patch Tuesday fixes, these four Windows 10 updates will be delivered via the standard Windows Update channel that also exists in the other Windows versions on the market.

More feature improvements coming soon

Even though no feature updates will be offered on Patch Tuesday and the focus will be exclusively on security improvements, Windows 10 Technical Preview is very likely to receive another pack of enhancements very soon.

Microsoft hasn't provided a date for this new rollout, but people close to the matter previously said that the company wanted to update Windows 10 Technical Preview once or even twice per month. And still, it's not yet clear if this plan still exists or not.

If we were to guess, Windows 10 Technical Preview could get a batch of updates, including a new build version that would include new features and tweaks, in the last week of this month, but the same thing can also happen sooner if the company completes development of new features.

In Windows 10's case, the new builds are delivered through the built-in updating system, independently of Windows Update, which allows new releases to be installed automatically on a computer, without losing files or settings. Deployment does take a while, however, but everything is performed automatically.

Smoother animations and improved notification center

Among the improvements that could be part of the next Windows 10 update there's also a revised notification center which could include a new position near the taskbar clock and options to quickly reply to messages or interact with the received notifications.

Word has it that Microsoft is also planning to make window animations a bit smoother, and the next Windows 10 build is very likely to bring changes in this regard.
