Microsoft confirms a new game for Windows 10 users

Candy Crush Saga arrived in the Windows Phone store recently, and Microsoft wants to continue its collaboration with King, the creator of the game, so the company today announced that Windows 10 would ship with a pre-installed version of the game too.

Basically, Candy Crush Saga would become the second game available in Windows 10 by default, as recent leaks have also indicated that Microsoft is pre-installing Solitaire Collection in the upcoming operating system.

In a post today, Microsoft says that more King games would be added to Windows 10 in the future, but the company refused to provide any other titles for the moment.

“Candy Crush Saga will be automatically installed for customers that upgrade to or download Windows 10 during the launch! Over time, other popular and awesome King game titles will be available for Windows 10,” Microsoft's Brandon LeBlanc said today.

Will users be allowed to remove it?

Candy Crush Saga will most likely be offered as a universal app, so the version that's currently running on Windows Phone will probably be ported to run on PCs too.

What's more important for users, however, is whether Microsoft would allow them to remove it or not, as it's a well-known fact that bloatware has always been an issue for those who wanted to keep their computers as clean as possible.

Obviously, Microsoft doesn't want Candy Crush Saga to fall into this category, so the company will probably allow users to uninstall the game or at least enable them to choose whether they want to get it in the first place when installing Windows 10.

Right now, there's no indication whether Candy Crush Saga would be pre-installed in Windows 10 preview builds as well, but we shall find this out very soon because a new version of the TP is expected to launch this month, most likely in the last week of May.
