Microsoft has just released a new technical preview for Windows Insiders who want to test the new version of the operating system on their smartphones.

Windows 10 for Phones Technical Preview build 10052 is now available for download to all those who opted for the Fast ring. The update is available beginning today and will slowly be rolled out to all Windows Insiders in the coming days.

Along with the launch announcement, Microsoft has also confirmed that this is just a minor update from the 10051 build that was released less than two weeks ago. Thankfully, there's also an official changelog available, so here is what's changed in this new build.

First of all, the flight mode can now be enabled, while the data connections can be disabled. Both these options weren't available in the previous Windows 10 for Phones Technical Preview.

This is just a minor update from the previous build

A few more issues have been addressed in the latest build as well. According to Microsoft, its engineers have fixed the bug in which the phone's MMS settings were lost after upgrading from build 9941.

Another bug that has been fixed by the company refers to an issue where users could not download keyboard for additional languages.

Last but not least, developers have confirmed they have fixed an issue where the viewfinder in the Camera app got composed incorrectly on some devices like the Lumia 1020.

These are the most important changes implemented in this build, but there are many other smaller ones that should improve the overall performance of Windows 10 for Phones Technical Preview.

In other news, Microsoft also announced that it resumed offering Windows 10 for Phones Technical Preview builds for everyone owning Lumia 520 devices.

The rollout of the update was on hold, because many Lumia 520 users reported that the upgrade bricked their smartphones. Fortunately, Microsoft has identified the issues and addressed them, so Lumia 520 owners can now update to Windows 10 for Phones Technical Preview once again.
