New options make their way in this new build

Windows 10 build 10125 is now being tested by Microsoft's partners, but thanks to leaked screenshots that have recently reached the web, we can already see some of the new options that the company implemented in this version in action.

One of them is a new Start menu feature that allows you to quickly browse apps installed on your computer by quickly jumping to the starting letter in their name, similar to how you do it on Windows Phone right now.

This option clearly comes in handy to those of you who have plenty of apps on their computers, as finding the app you need and managing installed software should be easier.

Getting closer to RTM

Although this new build isn't yet available for users worldwide, it looks like it's the most polished version of Windows 10 so far, despite the fact that bugs and issues could still be there.

But with Windows 10 expected to reach RTM in just a few weeks, it's pretty clear that Microsoft is more focused than ever on fixing bugs and improving performance of its operating system, so features like this come as a little bonus for insiders.

Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider Program, himself admitted that Microsoft would focus more on bug fixing in the coming weeks and less on new features, as we get closer to the eagerly awaited sign-off date of Windows 10.

“From here on out you’ll see fewer big feature changes from build to build, and more tuning, tweaking, stabilizing, and polishing,” Aul explained. “With this build we continue to move Windows 10 closer to our public release date this summer, and you’ll see changes large and small which were based on the input and feedback of Windows Insiders.”

According to unconfirmed information, Windows 10 could be signed off in June, while general availability could take place in July or August. Microsoft is yet to announce any release dates for Windows 10, but it's believed that the company will finally spill the beans at WPC 2015 in early July.
