Windows 10 Smartwatch Concept: We Must Have This

Windows 10 was designed to run on all kinds of devices, starting with the gigantic Surface Hub and ending with small-screen gadgets, such as smartwatches, so don’t be too surprised if you’ll soon be using Microsoft’s new operating system on your wrist.

And if a Windows 10 smartwatch looks like this, there’s no doubt that it can be a much bigger hit than the Apple Watch. Because, you know, you can get Windows, live tiles, a familiar UI, and essential tools wherever you go, everything on your wrist.

Microsoft already has a smart fitness band called Microsoft Band, but the concept you see here and that was published by PEICHI and brought to our attention by @evleaks takes Redmond’s wearables business to the next level and places it as a direct Apple Watch competitor.

Colorful design, familiar interface

As you can see in these design concepts, the smartwatch comes with the colorful approach that set Lumia phone models apart, while also boasting a lock screen that looks just like the one on Windows Phone.

At the same time, it has apps that can help you read emails and messages on your wrist, check out calendar appointments, view your Facebook wall, keep track of your fitness and even use the smartwatch as a remote shutter for your phone’s camera.

A Windows 10 smartwatch would probably incorporate all the other features that are already available on the Microsoft Band, such as a UV sensor, more fitness tracking options, and, more importantly, support for a wide array of phones, not only running Windows Phone/Windows 10 Mobile but also iOS and Android. That’s actually what makes Microsoft’s wearables special, so the company should really go in the same direction with its next device.

Unfortunately, this is just the result of someone’s imagination, but with a little luck, Microsoft could use this to develop its next smartwatch. The Microsoft Band 2 is already in testing, so maybe the one after the next one.
