The new technical preview is too buggy to be used

Microsoft promised to release Windows 10 Mobile preview builds more often, but that doesn't mean that everyone will be able to take advantage. These builds aren't usually meant to be used as daily drivers, but most Windows Phone users don't have anything against it.

The latest Windows 10 Mobile build 10080 has been released to Windows Insiders last week and many have already downloaded the new update since it contains lots of new features and apps that weren't available in previous versions.

In order to receive these Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview builds, you need to register as Windows Insider and then opt for how fast you wish to receive it.

If you want to get these new builds very fast regardless of how many issues they have and how bad they are, then you should choose the Fast Ring.

But if you plan on using these builds as your daily driver, then you should choose the Slow Ring. Usually, builds that are pushed to Slow Ring have less bugs and most importantly no major issues.

Microsoft will look to the next build as candidate for Slow ring

Unfortunately, that's not the case with Windows 10 Mobile build 10080. Since Microsoft started to seed this build on May 14, many adopters reported bugs that Microsoft was unaware of.

Well, it looks like some of these bugs are worse than Microsoft's engineers have expected, since the Redmond-based company has decided not to continue to push Windows 10 Mobile build 10080 to the Slow Ring.

According to Gabriel Aul, this build “isn't likely to go to Slow ring because of a few issues being reported.” He also stated that Microsoft would try to look to the next build as candidate for Slow ring delivery.

Speaking of which, the next Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview build should go live in the next couple of weeks. So, hopefully, Microsoft will be able to address these major issues that are present in build 10080.
