HTC will be busy unveiling the Android Hima next month

In a month’s time HTC will be taking center stage at MWC 2015 in Barcelona in order to pull the veil off its next flagship device, which has been dubbed Hima (or One M9) in the rumor mill.

On top of that HTC is also expected to unveil the One M9 Plus or Hima Ultra. But these two models we are telling you about are most likely going to come equipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

HTC will continue to push Windows (Phone) models

How about the Windows Phone-based variant of the handset, you might wonder. We talked about this back in December when it was revealed that a Windows 10 version of the flagship would indeed make a debut at some point.

This piece of news wasn't completely unexpected given the fact that HTC launched the One M8 in both Android and Windows Phone versions.

We reviewed the model a while back and found it quite satisfying. So we guess other customers and reviewers felt the same, since HTC is willing to continue the Windows (Phone) legacy with its next flagship.

Back then we were also told that the Windows 10 HTC Hima won’t be available for pick-up just everywhere and will be limited to US shores. Major US carriers like Verizon and AT&T will probably pick up the model and offer it under subsidized plans.

Now a new leak coming out of notorious Twitter account @upleaks reinforces the information that the Windows 10 HTC Hima will be offered only in the US.

The Windows version of Hima won't show its face in Barcelona

However, don’t expect to see the Windows 10-based model make an appearance at MWC 2015. The company is apparently looking to focus on the Android model of Hima during the event. For the time being there’s no word when we can expect to see this version, but hopefully it won’t be long after the Barcelona event.

Even so, bear in mind this piece of information is still classified as a rumor, for the time being, so you'd best take it with a grain of salt.

HTC One M9 is one of this spring’s flagships which is expected to take advantage of a Snapdragon 810 processor.

Other rumored specs include a 5-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, 3GB of RAM, a 20MP frontal camera and a 13MP selfie shooter up in front (or 4MP UltraPixel one).
