Here’s when the new Windows 10 event kicks off

Microsoft’s Windows 10 event focused on the consumer experience in the new OS will kick off in approximately 10 hours, and there’s no doubt that millions of people from all over the world will watch it online to see the latest improvements prepared by the software giant for its products.

The event will kick off at 9 am Pacific Time, and below you can find the starting times for some of the world’s biggest cities across the world where Microsoft enthusiasts might be interesting in watching the event online:

Those living in Beijing and Sydney will clearly have a hard time watching it since it takes place in the middle of the night, while Europeans are a bit lucky this time because the event kicks off in the evening.

Microsoft hasn’t provided any info on the event’s schedule, but it’s expected to take anywhere between 1 and 2 hours, as there will be lots of new things to be unveiled to local and online audience.

Windows 10 and Windows Phone 10 on the agenda

The key topic of today’s event will definitely be Windows 10, and Microsoft will show a new version in action, that will later be shipped to Windows Insiders as well.

Windows Phone 10 will also be unveiled, sources say, and Joe Belfiore will take the stage to demo an early build of the mobile operating system and to discuss plans for smartphones. A new version of Office could also be showcased, with a possible release date in early February.

Last but not least, gaming will also be a hot topic at today’s event, and Microsoft is very likely to disclose some very exciting projects, including something that would bring PCs and Xbox platforms closer together. Specifics are not available right now, but there's more to come in just a few hours.
