Microsoft has already expressed its intention to improve Windows 10 Technical Preview with features suggested by users, and the next build that could be released this month is very likely to come with such enhancements.

A new screenshot leaked by Chinese website IThome reveals that Microsoft plans to offer users options to disable the Task view and the Search tools integrated into the taskbar, thus making the Windows 10 desktop look even more like the one in Windows 7.

Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9841, which was actually the very first testing version of the new operating system, brought several improvements as compared to its predecessors, including a Task View button which allows users to view all running apps and manage multiple desktops, but also a search feature to quickly look for information online.

No options to disable them were offered whatsoever, so one of the most requested improvements on Microsoft's feedback platforms was to implement settings that would enable users to remove the two icons from the taskbar.

Improved notification center also coming

At the same time, it appears that Microsoft is working to improve the notification center that debuted in Technical Preview 9860 with options that would allow testers to interact with apps sending notifications and quickly perform a number of actions.

Quick actions have also been among the top requests for the notification center, and it turns out that Microsoft is ready to release them to users in order to easily reply to Skype messages without the need for launching the app itself.

What's more, Microsoft might pick a new position for the notification center icon which is now placed at the left of the System Tray. In some new internal builds, the notification center is moved to the right, just near the taskbar clock.

Security updates coming tomorrow

Windows 10 Technical Preview is one of the platforms that will receive security updates tomorrow, as part of Microsoft's monthly Patch Tuesday rollout.

Redmond hasn't provided any specifics on the updates it plans to release, but it has mentioned that Windows 10 Technical Preview will receive a total of four different security patches and a reboot might be required.

As is usually the case of Patch Tuesday fixes, they will be released via Windows Update, so an Internet connection will be all you need to get them. Just make sure to save your work before starting installation.

As for new features, they are expected to be released by the end of the month, most likely on November 25.
