Windows 10 build 10120 has recently been spotted online and Microsoft is testing it with company insiders and partners across the world, so it was only a matter of time until more information on this particular build was released.

A leaked screenshot published by Russian leaker WZor reveals the release notes of the new build, confirming some of the changes that Microsoft plans to make in the upcoming versions of Windows 10.

First and foremost, there are new Music and Video apps available in this build, while the Reading List apps has been removed and can no longer be download from the Windows 10 store.

Previously, the Reading List app allowed users to save websites they load in Internet Explorer for later viewing, thus being able to read them at a later time, from a separate app. Starting with Windows 10, this feature is implemented directly in Edge browser, so a separate app is no longer needed.

“The Music Preview and Video Preview apps have been replaced with new Video and Music apps. These new apps are now the default file handlers for associated media file types,” Microsoft says in the release notes, confirming that it finalized work on the new Music and Video apps.

Edge is the default PDF viewer

Windows 8 came with its very own stand-alone PDF viewer, but starting with Windows 10, that’s going to change too. Edge, Internet Explorer’s replacement in Windows 10, will become the default PDF viewer, so the Windows Reader app is no longer automatically installed in the new operating system.

And yet, if you still want it, the app can be found in the Windows 10 store, so you can still install and use it instead of the Edge browser.

We’re hearing that the next Windows 10 preview build is part of the 1012x series, so it’s very likely to come with these changes too. Still, there are no details regarding its launch date, but expect it by the end of the month.
