A new batch of Windows 10 screenshots has recently reached the web confirming that Microsoft recently compiled build 10064 and sent it to partners for testing purposes.

While these screenshots do not reveal much about the new build, they come as living proof that Redmond has completed development of another stable version that can be deployed by someone else besides company employees.

Recently, it has emerged that Microsoft internally shipped build 10061 to members of the Windows team, but there’s still no information regarding a possible new build for Windows insiders.

Dark theme as default

As we’ve seen in build 10056, Microsoft ships Windows 10 with a new dark theme and it turns out that this 10064 is delivered with this new visual style set as default. Microsoft most likely tries to make people aware that a new dark theme is available, so shipping a few testing builds with the dark look as default is the best way to achieve this goal.

Aside from this, build 10064 brings only small changes here and there, including bigger icons for the tiles included in the Start menu and a new grey People tile that could be an indication that Microsoft might be bringing back the old People app in Windows 10.

As far as icons are concerned, there doesn’t seem to be anything new this time and absolutely all of them remain unchanged from build 10056. Recycle Bin does come with the same icon as in build 10056, but we’ve heard quite a lot of users claiming that this one is just as ugly as its predecessor, so Microsoft most likely needs to spend a few more time to get the Windows 10 icon pack right.

There’s no indication whether build 10064 could leak or not, but just as usual, Microsoft does not recommend anyone to install unofficial releases. And still, we’re very sure that many of you are expecting such a leak, so we’ll let you know when and if this happens.
