This is what the new version of the OS looks like

Windows 10 build 10036 leaked earlier today, so anyone can give it a shot right away, thus getting an early glimpse of what could be the next official release coming from Microsoft next week.

Little was known about the features that Microsoft has been working on in the last couple of months, but thanks to this leaked build, we can finally get an early peek at what Windows 10 might actually look like when it hits the market, as more features are available based on user feedback.

For example, Windows 10 build 10036 finally brings Start menu and Start screen transparency, which is one of the most requested features since the first build came out in early October. These photos show that transparency is now part of this build and is very likely to be included in the stable version of Windows 10.

Improved multiple desktops

Another feature that's based on user feedback is the improved behavior of the Task view option, which gives us the possibility of dragging a window from one desktop to another. The new desktop button has been moved to the right side of the screen and each desktop now has an assigned number for better management. Options to rename each desktop or set different wallpapers are missing.

Launched apps are no longer transferred from a desktop to another, so when opening a new app, for example, Windows 10 automatically creates a new instance completely.

There's also a new section in PC settings that allows you to change Windows Defender settings. Windows Defender, which continues to be offered as the default security solution for Windows 10, comes with a new icon in this build, so Microsoft is still working to improve the overall look of the OS.

And speaking of icons, the highly criticized design of the icons is still being used for build 10036, and the Recycle Bin icon that's placed on the desktop is one of the first things you'll see after booting for the first time.

Microsoft, however, has said that this is an early UI and has suggested that icons could change before the final version of the OS is ready.

Keep in mind that build 10036 is not an official release, so you won't receive support in case you come across bugs or any other issue.
