Mutter, a window and compositing manager that displays and manages your desktop via OpenGL, has reached version 3.8.3.
Owen Taylor has announced that Mutter 3.8.3 was released, repairing a few problems and updating a couple of features.
Highlights of Mutter 3.8.3:
• Support has been added for string-array preferences; • The shade window action has been fixed; • An API has been added in order to freeze or unfreeze the keyboard; • A signal is now emitted when the XK_ISO_Next_Group is pressed; • The new clutter_stage_set_paint_callback() function is now used to prevent dropping frames.
Although it can be used stand-alone, it is primarily intended to be used as the display core of a larger system, such as GNOME Shell. It can be enhanced by plug-ins and it's utilized in conjuncture with GNOME Shell.
