14 DAY TRIAL // Snowed In Studios has announced that its upcoming 2D shooter/builder hybrid WindForge has now entered beta testing, as it is nearing the scheduled launch date.
WindForge is also available for preorder on Snowed In’s website, and the pre-release version that was made available for its Kickstarter backers a month ago will also be made accessible to preordering customers.
Its unique Contra vs Minecraft gameplay along with the role playing elements and the interesting background really set WindForge apart. Players will delve into a peculiar world, where giant airships rely on whale oil for fuel. As whales as nearing extinction, the population has to find alternative fuel sources.
Players will be able to build and customize their own airship and set off into the skies to explore and shoot stuff in the face, as illustrated in the trailer.
The game was passed on Steam Greenlight at the beginning of January, and it’s currently set to launch on Steam on March 7.
