Winamp will be retired in just one week, but this doesn’t stop the developing team from releasing improved versions of the application.

For example, Winamp 5 Full 5.666 Build 3516 got to see daylight this morning, coming with stability and performance improvements on all Windows versions.

While there are no release notes on this build, it’s pretty clear that AOL wants to leave Winamp a bug-free application, so that consumers who’ll continue to use it would be able to do so without any major glitches in its code.

AOL announced last month that Winamp would be retired on December 20, 2013, but people familiar with the matter hinted that Microsoft itself might be interested in purchasing the media player.

There’s still no word on whether negotiations have succeeded or not, so you have only 7 more days to download Winamp 5 Full for Windows.
