Beta build lifetime reduced to four weeks due to obsolete reports

Although it is the eighth beta build for version 5.7, this revision for Winamp brings to the table a consistent number of repairs touching on stability and functionality as well as improvements.

Starting this build, users should no longer have trouble loading the application on some Windows 8 and earlier. Also, the developer shortened the life of a beta build to four weeks; after this period the user receives an alert prompting the update to the latest build.

The reason behind this action is the large number of crash reports in older builds of the program, which have already been fixed.

The file type association page for Windows 8 that pops up during the installation routine has been completed.

A full list of modifications available in this build is available on this page.
