14 DAY TRIAL // WinZip for Windows 8, one of the most powerful compression tools for Microsoft’s new operating system, is now available with a freeware license, so those who wish to download it can find the app right now in the Store.
WinZip boasts a fully touch-optimized interface and is specifically designed to run in Metro mode, which means that it can get along not only with the x86 and x64 versions of the Windows 8 operating system, but also with Windows RT running on tablets.
The app was officially released in November and was initially available with a price tag of $7.99 (€6.3), while a trial version allowed users to give it a spin before buying it.
The software company behind WinZIP is yet to publicly announce this special offer, so we can’t tell for sure how long this is going to last.
