14 DAY TRIAL // A new version of the WinZip compression tool for Windows 8 is now available for download from the Windows Store, with this fresh release bringing quite a lot of new options.
First of all, you can now add files to an archive from Dropbox, SkyDrive, Box, and Google Drive, as the application includes cloud support too. What’s more, it can easily open or save ZIP, 7z, RAR and ZIPX files from and to these cloud-based storage services without leaving the Metro UI.
The new WinZIP version offers direct email access to the help desk, while the refresh user interface is supposed to provide enhanced workflow.
Developers have also merged the ZipSend and ZipShare feature, so everything should be a bit easier to use now.
